It Just Never Ends!

Well it looks like more people are lining up to take the blame for Bush's State of the Union speech blunder. I guess it wasn't enough that George Tenet has fallen on his sword to save Bush's ass. No, I guess the whole CIA has to fall too. It doesn't seem to matter that the "Uranium in Africa" part was purposefully left out of one prior speech, so why in the world would they try to add it to a State of the Union speech? Well I know why! To hype up the whole war thing so that American sheeple would beg for us to go to Iraq and bomb innocent people and have our soldiers die too.

::steps on her soapbox::

For the last time, Mr. Bush, you gave the speech and you obviously believed that the information you were giving to the American public was either truthful or misleading. I would be inclined to believe the first part if I didn't know what underhanded jerks your whole family is. So I am leaning more towards the latter. You and your ilk wanted this war so damn badly that you have been planning it since Clinton took office. Cheney, Wolfowitz, Perle, et al. - they have all been sitting back just waiting for that moment and boy did you deliver it! You got up there and told us one bold-face lie and misconstrued truth after another just to get this damn war. Well now you've had your war and our men and women are STILL dying over there. How about we send your little twins over to the front line, Mr. Bush? Let's see how long you keep letting our men and women be sitting ducks if someone close to you had to be the one slaughtered! You are nothing but a fuckin' pretensious little snit with nothing better to do all day than play commando. Well your days are numbered! I don't care how many people you get to take the blame for what YOU SAID, this is not over and it is not going to be swept under the rug. You and your administration will go down in history as the WORSE administration to ever serve the USA. I will not rest until you have all been IMPEACHED and tried for war crimes! And I want to see Pappy try to get you out of this mess!

::climbs off her soapbox and gains composure::

I feel so much better now that I have gotten that off of my chest. ::laughs:: But in all seriousness, aren't the rest of you sick of these lies? Here are a couple more reports concerning the Uranium charge:

This Really Burns Me UP!

No, I have never served in the military, but I do know people who have, so where do soldiers sign away their citizenship? What paper do they sign that says they are no longer US citizens with the rights afforded them under the Constitution? Yes, they may be subjected to military law also, but where in military law does it say that they no longer have Freedom of Speech? Read this article and see if it doesn't just put you in a pissy mood too! But if you are in a hurry, here is the comment made by General Abizaid, coalition forces commander:

    "None of us that wear this uniform are free to say anything disparaging about the secretary of defense or the president of the United States. . . We're not free to do that. It's our professional code. Whatever action may be taken, whether it's a verbal reprimand or something more stringent is up to the commanders on the scene and it's not for me to comment."
