DC Pledge of Resistance

"The next meeting of the DC Pledge of Resistance, at which we will decide on our next action, will be this Wednesday, April 2, at 7:00pm. We will be holding our meeting at Sparky's Restaurant/Cafe, which is on 1720 14th St. NW. (Between R and S Sts, closest metro is U St./Cardoza on the Green Line.) Come ready to have a drink and a sandwich, as they have good selection on both."

Code Pink Action Alerts

SATURDAY, MARCH 29th, 2003

Join Code Pink in support of Black Voices for Peace and Spirit House in a "Mourn-In" for the innocent civilians and Americans soldiers who have died as a result of this war. The action will take place at 2pm at Freedom Plaza (14th and Pennsylvania Avenue). Don't forget to wear your black and pink.

SUNDAY, MARCH 30th, 2003

Code Pink and Black Voices for Peace will be holding a fundraiser at Mimi's Bistro (2120 P Street, NW) on Sunday afternoon, starting at 3pm. The theme of the event is "Imagine." We encourage all of you to come out and imagine what a world without war would look like. We also encourage you to come out and support Code Pink as well.

SUNDAY, MARCH 30th, 2003

DAWN has made a call out to meet every Sunday at 8am to protest the various pro-war guests on the Sunday Morning Talk Shows. Advance schedule of who will be appearing on the Sunday Talk Shows are listed on page C7 of the Washington Post. Check the listing, pick your target, and come join us! TUESDAY, APRIL 1st, 2003

Come join AFL-CIO for a permitted rally followed by multiple possible risk-arrest actions at Farragut Square at 5pm. Training for direct actions will be held at St. Stephens Church (16th and Newton, NW) on Monday, March 31st, at 7pm. No business as usual!!

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2nd, 2003

Code Pink will be meeting in front of the White House for our National Wednesday night candlelight vigil. Meet in front of the White House at 16th and H Street, NW. The vigil will start at 5:30pm.

THURSDAY, APRIL 3rd, 2003

Protest FOX! Again, Code Pink is making a nationwide call to protest the unfair, biased coverage of the war against Iraq. FOX has played the megaphone of the Pentagon for too long. We demand fairness in FOX's reporting. It's the least we can do for the innocent civilians and American soldiers who are dying in Iraq. Meet at the Code Pink office at 10:30am for departure at 11am. If you can not meet us at the office, we look forward to seeing you in front of FOX (400 North Capitol Street, NW Metro: Union Station) at noon!!!

FRIDAY, APRIL 4th, 2003

Muslim Voices for Peace and Justice, are calling for a prayer at noon in Freedom Plaza (14th and Pennsylvania Avenue). Please come and support this important event. Let's show our solidarity with our Muslim sisters and brothers, and pray for all the innocent civilians as well.

SATURDAY, APRIL 5th, 2003

Campus Antiwar Network (CAN) is sponsoring a Festival of Peace and Nonviolence, starting at 1pm at the Washington Monument. Meet up with Code Pink at the American History Museum (14th and Madison) at noon as we create a feeder march to join up with the students. The festivities will end with a candlelight vigil and speakout for anyone in attendance at 7pm.

All locations are in Washington, DC.
