I guess the question is, what to do? Before the invasion I knew about tons of protests- and now, nada. Id sure as shit go to one now. Id even organize the damned thing, if I knew anyone, or knew how. And its not new- its constant, constant, constant madness. So, anyone up for a trip to DC? -JL

I'll tell you, Americans have very short memories. That's what happens when you're a lemming.

Awesome entry. Here in Canada we've been hoping that wmd would actually be found to make the whole Iraq campaign worthwhile. Under Bush the U.S. has become Athens, Rome, France under Napoleon, and I will stop there....My heart goes out to all those who have family in the armed forces who have lost their lives or been injured because of the greed of Bush. I fear for the fallout. Every Empire Falls. It is a comfort, but its destruction is never pretty.

Chucklehead - 2003-05-17 17:25:18
I'll give you this; you are a propagandist par excellence. Joseph Goebbels would be proud. But you are a hypocrite. How can you be opposed to Bush's "atrocities", yet embrace something as demonic as abortion, the Taleban, bin Laden, and the Ba'ath party? All of you need to quit reading the media news, which is 99% lies, and get your ass out on the front lines of all this BS and make your own decisions. Action, not words.

Ravyne - 2003-05-17 23:23:04
First off Chucklehead, I am PRO-CHOICE, that is NOT PRO-ABORTION. It is about allowing women to make their own CHOICES about their bodies. Second, I do not support the Taleban, bin Laden or the Ba'ath Party. I have no clue where you have gotten those misconceptions from. And finally, I hate being LIED TO and that is exactly what Bush has done to all of us. So instead of sitting there in your comfortable surroundings hiding behind your computer, why don't you get out and do something! I am an ACTIVE activist and I do not just sit at home and do nothing. You need to stop making assumptions about things you know nothing about.

I have the banner's available - what can I do to get people aware of your site? Let's get this thing working. Bush CAN NOT BE president for 4 more years. C'mon axis of could be evil!

Re: Ravyne >> Goddamnit I hate activists. People who make a large fuss over nothing, well mostly.

do you know why wmd is on the back burner now in the minds of us sheep (read: those whose opinions differ)? for me, i would have to say it was hearing the story of the man whose wife was raped in front of him, whose infant's head was crushed against the stone wall, because saddam disliked his attitude. although, it could've also been listening to the iraqi man vow to kill himself if the us didn't start bombing, or it might have been the children's (children's!) prison we found and liberated. sometimes, political correctness has to step aside to make room for what is right. i've never sung bush's praises, and, for example, i've been extremely wary of the so-called patriot act since the beginning. however, i am also not bent on demonizing every move my president makes. so there you have it. the opinion of an apparent sheeple.

as for a woman's choice: if it is a biological inevitability for the being ('tissue') to naturally initiate change (into a human being), over a period of time, then one must assume that it is in its nature to do so from the very beginning. it's simply how the cycle progresses. therefore it would not be a change in the being's essential nature, and despite any changes such as residence, independence, or physical development, what the being is later in life is what the being is at the beginning of its life. just thought i'd throw that out there.
