more and more i am impressed by your braveness to write what you do. arent you afraid?

Woe - no, I am not afraid. I probably should be, but sometimes the truth has to be spoken, revealed, and written. If the Bushites are so worried about a nobody like me and my diary, then they are seriously screwed in the head. I will continue to do what I do til they come knocking on my door, confiscate my computer and take me away. Thanks for your readership :)

I would just like to say that I am greatly relieved and overjoyed that people like you are around for such a time as this, because if you were around during the years prior to world war II, we would be ruled under a communist form of government or dictatorship. Therefore, I thank you. As you have already gathered, I have different beliefs than you. But that's okay, right?

Sure, its ok that you have different beliefs...but next time you want to discuss something on my comments, leave a way to be contacted or else your comments will be deleted. I am sick of flamers coming in giving their warped opinions and not leaving contact information.

I was rather disheartened when I tried to attend an anti-war demonstration in my hometown. It was in a park, but that park is actually six or eight smaller parks, so there's no way to know which section to go to unless you know each and every one quite well. I don't live in that area of town, and don't know the sections at all. Also, the demonstration wasn't visible from the road. I never did find it. Most of my friends are against hostilities in the Middle East, but there really isn't anything we can do about it. I have no idea whether or not I'd need some kind of permit to organize a demonstration that would be visible from the road, in a highly recognizable place everyone can find. Ideally I'd like to get enough people to surround the state capitol building and hold hands, but that would take a pretty big group. Do you know of any websites where I can find out what the laws are in the various states regarding demonstrations? I don't want to get arrested unless it's absolutely unavoidable. :-)

Nikita - each state is different about demostrations, for that matter, even individual cities and towns are different. Most even require a permit for such activities. Your best bet would be to contact your local city or town hall and ask them about demostrations and their rules and regulations. You can even try a search for your particular state. I know Illinois lists their laws and regulations because I searched for theirs once for a friend. But even with the state law, she still had to comply with her city's laws as well and ended up contacting them. So I think that is your best bet.

every time I go to post office, (I live in Bryn Mawr, PA) I see a band of old ladies and gentleman protesting (yes, still) the war. makes my day. That's why I go visit post office even when I don't have to go.
