You wanted to say...:

I once watched Bush making a speech on television. This was a couple of months ago, and it happened by accident, as I was checking to see if "Friends" was on. I watched about five minutes of the broadcast and had to call my mother into the room and point out what I had seen to her. Bush was opening and closing his mouth, but it didn't look like his lips were forming words. His voice was saying the words, but he appeared to be lip-syncing - badly - to his own pre-recorded speech. It also resembled a ventriloquist's dummy, with the mouth opening and closing like it was. It was so disturbing I had to show it to my mother. She can't stand him either. After that I changed the channel, as I can't listen to him for very long. I just thought I'd share that with you. The man is frightening.

OMG! I just watched some of the video on the White House website, and you are right Nikita, it did look like in several places that he was lip-sinking. He would close his mouth completely while words were still being broadcasted. It could just be a delay on the tape to sound, but OMG! It really looked like that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. The whole lip-sync thing would be enough to keep me from voting for him, if I had any love for the man at all. But there's so much more to fear than just that. I started to be frightened when the whole Homeland Security crap appeared last year sometime. When it became public knowledge, I should say. I live in Nebraska, a very Bible-oriented state, and I'm Pagan. I haven't had any trouble from Fundies yet, but if Bush gets into the White House for another term I expect that to change. I sometimes have trouble understanding how government employees can do the kinds of things I've been hearing and reading about. It seems like the higher-ups are wiping their asses with the Constitution, and one would think they'd eventually get caught or stopped somehow. But, I suppose the 2004 elections will give a hint as to how much our individual rights and freedoms matter to the average voter.
